Hengchang use sand casting process to produce bronze parts. Sand casting uses resin-bonded sand to construct a mold that the bronze will be cast into. When the mold is cured and the pattern is removed, you can flow molten bronze into the hollow area. Once it cools, the result is a single cast metal object.

 

Casting Process

1)Make the pattern

2)Make the sandbox

3)Push the pattern into the sand and clay mixture

4)Remove the brass from the furnace

5)Pour the molten brass into the mold 

6)Wait for the brass to cool

7)Cold bathe the mold

8)Remove the mold from the sand using heat-safe gloves
